We are extremely excited to announce that Taste of Troy Food Tours will be participating in the very first global Food Tour Week of 2020! Share your food tour experience and you will have a chance to WIN a culinary adventure of a lifetime! The dates will take place Friday, June 5th- Sunday, June 14th. A whole week of tasting food, it can’t get better than that right? Just kidding! We will be partnering with What’s Poppin, a locally owned gourmet popcorn shop, so you can receive your very own bag of their new Upstate flavor as well. There will be two tours taking place in Troy and one in Albany. The week will be filled with fun, memories, and food, so don’t miss out!
South Central Troy Food Tour
This new year means a brand new tour! Taste of Troy Food Tours will now be offering a second route in Troy, one Saturday a month, called the South Central Troy Food Tour. The tastes will consist of a variety of global cuisines and sips of wines from our region. The new tour will introduce you to independent restaurants that may be new to you: Places such as Quang’s Vietnamese Bistro, The Ruck, DeFazio’s Pizzeria, Carmen’s Cuban Cafe, Hudson Chatham Winery and more will be available for some exciting tastings. Make sure to book your spots and check out these fantastic places that every foodie will be sure to love!
Once a month ( 5/23, 6/20, 7/25, 8/22, 9/26 and 10/ 24) on Saturdays, 11-2 pm
Want a more personalized experience? Then a Private Tour is the choice for you! If you have a special event coming up and want to do something creative with your friends or coworkers, plan a private tour with our guide. The private tours are offered in both Albany and Troy and take you on the same tour as the public ones, but your group has the advantage of being more intimate. Your guide can customize your tour to meet your group’s needs and provide you with a unique experience that your group is sure to love. Downtown Albany Tour
The 400-year-old city of Albany has rich history and delicious food to match. Join this food tour and learn about Albany’s Dutch connection, history of beer brewing, and take a visit to the First Church of Albany! You’ll explore the gorgeous downtown area on an easy 1.5-mile tour. Your friendly and knowledgeable tour guide will bring you to local favorite food spots such as the Albany Pump Station (C.H. Evan’s beer is brewed here!), Ama Cocina, The Hollow Bar & Kitchen, Stacks Espresso Bar, Cider Belly Doughnuts, and the Olde English pub. This tour highlights Albany’s centuries-old architecture while indulging in cuisines from different cultures that come together to make Albany the unique city that it is.

Downtown Troy Tour
In the historic Collar City that has recently been reborn, your tour guide hand-picked some of her favorite local food spots and is confident that you won’t be disappointed. Each location is unique providing delicious food and beverage and a story that must be heard. See Troy for what it has become: a hip little city nestled on the Hudson River with a variety of cuisines to taste and gorgeous architecture to see. You’ll have the opportunity to indulge in everything from chia pudding at Little Peck’s to tea and scones at The Whistling Kettle. A stop at the renowned St. Paul’s Episcopal Church to see the 100 percent Tiffany-designed interior is sure to leave you in awe. The leisurely 1.5-mile walk will keep you hungry for all that Troy has to offer. Along the way, you will also stop at the Illium Cafe in the oldest building on Monument Square, Brown’s Brewing, the first craft beer brewing location in the area, and finally a craft ice cream shop that had their Philly Vanilla named the best in the world in 2017! This tour is offered earlier in the day to give guests time to browse the abundant farmer’s market if they wish.
