2020 put a huge crimp in many couples’ wedding plans and related celebrations. With summer finally here and COVID regulations lifting, wedding season is returning at breakneck speed with more options from which to choose. Taste of Troy Food Tours is at your service with some delicious fun already mapped out. A creative alternative for brides-to-be looking for a unique way to celebrate their upcoming nuptials: Taste of Troy Food Tours, which offers tours in Troy and Albany, is a great way for the bride and her friends to celebrate while enjoying some fabulous fare, culture and Capital District magic! The tours are also a wonderful way for an out of town wedding party to feel at home in the Capital Region.
Taste of Troy Food Tours explores two different Capital District historic areas: Saturday’s Central Troy Historic District Food Tour and Friday’s Downtown Historic Albany Food Tour. Both tours provide a flavor of the area and set the tone for celebrating the bride-to-be. Toast the bride with some craft brews or cocktails, and whet your taste buds with the culinary artistry of local chefs and entrepreneurs from a city on either side of the Hudson River. The historic vibe of these two legacy cities is woven into a tasty progressive meal and will definitely give the bachelorettes something to talk about while enjoying their time together.
During the 3-hour tour, you’ll walk about 1.5 miles with five – six stops, including local eateries and historic tidbits. Each stop is approximately 15 minutes. The Saturday Central Troy Historic District food tour, which includes going through the Troy’s Waterfront Market ends at Brown’s Brewing Company where the party can continue celebrating with a great view over the Hudson River, before your next fun activity-to-be. The Historic Downtown Albany Food Tour ends at Albany Distilling Company’s gorgeous indoor open back patio or your party could explore other craft brews in the nearby Warehouse District. Both tours can be customized to the bride’s preferences. Each of the stops is spaced with sights and insights on either cities’ architecture, culture and history.
