Our tours are designed for anyone that loves great food and loves to discover the hidden gems and interesting stories of Troy, NY or Albany, NY. If you are in search of local food establishments, history, culture, and architecture that is what you will find on our tours. Even if you have food allergies or food restrictions, we welcome you to join us– we’ll make accommodations and make you feel comfortable all along the tasting journey. Whether you are married, single, on a first date, getting together with friends and family, or on a company outing, our tours offer a lot for everyone.
Troy tour: Free parking is available at Uncle Sam’s Atrium Garage or on the street. Allow about 5 extra minutes to get into the garage, Saturdays are busy in Troy for the Waterfront Farmers’ Market.
Albany tour: Parking is available in the public lot behind the Albany Pump Station, very near to our meeting point. Parking costs $1 an hour and the maximum rate is $6. Pay at the machine and put the receipt on your dashboard.
Children are welcome, but please keep in mind that this is a 3-hour, 1.5 mile walking tour, and some children do not have the stamina or attention span to enjoy it. You know your children best. Please note that we do offer 1 alcohol tasting, and a non-alcoholic beverage will be provided for children. We offer a discounted rate for children 12 and under: $29 in Troy and $39 in Albany, and children 3 and under are free. Children 3 and under are welcome to share your food.
Absolutely not! Our tours combine architectural commentary, historical facts, local culture and culinary insight into a unique 3-hour experience. Imagine walking around Troy or Albany eating our local artisans delicious foods while learning about the past and present of these legacy cities.
Please be sure and let us know if you (or anyone in your group) has a dietary restriction (e.g. vegetarian, gluten-free, caffeine intolerance, vegan, no alcohol etc.) when you purchase your tickets. As long as we know in advance, we can accommodate most of your dietary needs.
Our tastes and sips are pre-ordered to be ready for our arrival. To maximize your chances of getting the date and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance. Tickets can only be purchased with a Visa, AMEX, or MasterCard from our website or by calling. Cash and/or walk-up traffic the day of the tours are not accepted.
We do not provide a waiting list. Please email us to let us know what date you are interested in if you do not see availability.
If you have a deliciously fun time, tips are appreciated although not mandatory. In the tourism industry, it is customary to tip your guide 15%.
Yes, bathrooms are available during the tour at all the food-tasting locations.
The tours are held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, we will be able to go inside many of the establishments on the tour. We also bring extra umbrellas in case you forget your umbrella. However, we advise to check the weather conditions for your days event and dress appropriately.
Yes. All sidewalks have ramps at the street crossings, and all restaurants are manual wheelchair accessible.
At this time, we do not offer tours in any other languages except English.
We absolutely do! We can accommodate a variety of special requests (family reunions, Birthday parties, out of town guests, corporate, bachelorette parties and more).
You should bring with you a camera and a small bottle of water. When it’s really hot out, we recommend an application of sunscreen on exposed parts of the body and a lightweight pair of sunglasses. During the cooler seasons it’s important to wear and an extra layer of clothing. Since we hold the tour rain or shine, consider bringing rain gear if the forecast is iffy. We will bring some extra umbrellas for guest to use/share in case of rain as well.

There are two, one ounce tastings of different craft beers. In Troy there is a wine alternative for gluten-free and house made root beer option for non-drinkers. In Albany there is a local hard cider alternative for gluten-free and non-alcoholic drink for non-drinkers.
